Gor Mahia plead for fans funding ahead of USM Alger clash

Ahead of their return leg against USM Alger in the CAF Champions League First Round, Gor Mahia have beseeched their fans to support the club financially in a bid to ease their money troubles.

According to reports K’Ogalo players had downed their tools due to salary arrears ahead of the KCB clash. The players, however, turned up for the game and managed to secure a 2-1 win with goals coming from Francis Afriyie and Lawrence Juma. 

Gor Mahia’s sponsor, SportPesa had terminated all sports sponsorships after the new betting and gaming rules were imposed. It was reported that the betting firm was willing to renegotiate with Gor Mahia a new sponsorship deal but till date, no official announcement has been made. 

The Club’s Treasurer, Sally Bolo pleaded with fans to make contributions through the club’s Paybill Number, “This Sunday at Kasarani we host USM Alger in a must-win return match. As we look forward to what will obviously be an entertaining game, we invite our dear fans and friends of Gor to turn up in droves and support the club.

“We also invite you to make your kind donations and contributions to the club via our Paybill Number 350100. You are our strength, and your support is our joy. See you on Sunday.”
