Nairobi — Police have launched an investigation on the murder of a mother and her daughter whose bodies were discovered on Monday night in Nairobi’s South B estate.
The bodies were found by a relative who had gone to visit them at their home in Golden Gate estate, within South B, police said, giving the ages of the deceased as a 73-year-old and her daughter aged 47 who was a former banker.
The 73-year-old is a retiree of the National Treasury, police said.
Police said nothing was stolen from the two, making it a well planned murder.
Both appear to have been strangled with sisal ropes which were found tied around their necks.
Neighbours told police they last saw the two on Sunday when they were dropped off in the compound by a Toyota Landcruiser, but no registration number was immediately given to detectives.
