The 2016 World under 20 1500m champion Kumari Taki has said nothing will deter him from clinching a gold medal in this year’s IAAF World Athletics Championships set for the 28th of this month to 6th of next month in Doha, Qatar.
Taki who was selected by Athletics Kenya to fill the void that was left by injured Elijah Manangoi intensified training at Kasarani stadium.
A pulsating atmosphere will be witnessed in Doha when the athletics world championship kicks off with more attention drawn to the Kenyan side.
The athletes to this year’s event are seeking to clinch more gold medals after finishing second in the previous edition of the event in the UK.

Kumari Taki will be joined by three-time Diamond league winner Timothy Cheruiyot and George Manangoi who will be making his debut.
Meanwhile, Alex Oloitiptip is ready to roar in the 10,000m race.
The 1500m and 10,000m squad will leave the country on 28th this month after a first batch of athletes left the country on Monday evening.
