Manchester United youngster Brandon Williams has signed a contract extension that will see him stay at the club until at least 2022.
The 19-year-old full-back is highly rated at the club having broken into the senior team this season under coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He has come through the ranks at the club and made his debut for the senior team against Rochdale in the EFL Cup last month.
He has also tasted European football, having featured for United in their match against AZ Alkmaar last month.
He impressed in both fixtures, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer heaping praise on his general performance.
His performance also attracted the attention of Scott McTominay, another United academy product, who added that he has a bright future at the club.
“I thought he did brilliantly,” said McTominay after the draw with AZ Alkmaar.
“I said to him before the game to just be himself and told him he had nothing to worry about,”
His involvement is partially thanks to Luke Shaw’s injury, which has seen him miss a huge chunk of the club’s matches in recent weeks.
United are currently 12th on the English Premier League standings on nine points after eight matches, having hit a rough patch.
They host league leaders Liverpool on Sunday evening in a must-win match but will have to do so without a host of their first-team players who are out due to various injuries.
