Following a poor start to the season, Manchester United have identified Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele and Juventus’ Mario Mandzukic as transfer targets in the January transfer window.
United allowed Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to leave in the summer transfer window without getting any replacements. The decision has cost United with the side struggling for goals and now have Mason Greenwood as the only fit striker.
According to Mundo Deportivo United are keen on Dembele, whose Barcelona future looks increasingly uncertain amid continued speculation about Neymar’s return to the club. United were linked with Mandzukic in the transfer deadline day after letting Lukaku leave but the deal failed to materialize.
Maurizio Sarri has made it clear Mandzukic is not in his first-team plans by not registering him in Juventus’ Champions League squad.
