A total of five games took place in different pitches across the action in the Kenya Women Premier League with Thika Queens v Gaspo Youth being the pick of the bunch.
Queens who are placed third of the league standing had to come from two goals down to force a draw against Gaspo at the Thika Sub County Stadium on Sunday 22 September.
Gaspo had taken a 2-0 lead courtesy of a brace from Winnie Kanotu whose 19th and 43rd-minute strikes had given her side a 2-0 lead at the beak but Fauzia Omar reduced the deficit in the 49th minute before completing her own brace in the 57th minute.
Meanwhile, Vihiga Queens took advantage of the draw to perch at the top of the log following their 4-0 win over Eldoret Falcons at the University of Eldoret grounds on Sunday.
A first-half goal by Mercyline Oginga coupled by goals from Topista Situma-who scored a brace-and Teresa Engesha was ensured the team heads into the next round at the top of the pile.
Kisumu All-Starlets was another team who gave goals as they emerged 7-3 winners over visiting Oserian Ladies at the Moi Stadium-Kisumu with Mathare United being held to a 2-2 draw by Zetech.
